Fourth Grade Houses

Fourth graders have been working on drawing houses. We talked about architecture and looked at different styles of homes. Fourth graders were given a handout with different styles of windows, doors, steps, and many other details. They drew the homes in pencil first, then outlines the houses in black sharpie marker. The students are in the process of coloring the houses now.

  1. I am making handouts now of different styles of doors, windows for architecture! I have to share it! Where did you get your handouts from or did you draw them yourself? I'm not sure how to get them started on the house design. . . hmmm I have to go out and take tons of pictures of houses maybe unless there is a great resource.

  2. I did draw the handouts myself, and it took forever!!! I can try to take a picture of it and post it on here. I did use an old School Arts magazine that had some architecture examples in it.
